I'm Definitely Wonderstruck Over This New Fragrance

I am not one to wear much perfume, I'll be the first to admit that, but I have finally found a perfume that has me all giggly and exited. Normally, I try and stay out of the perfume section of major department stores because I become frustrated with those sales ladies that keep trying to attack you with their samples, but today I was heading over to the Chanel counter (that will be another post!) and had to navigate my way through those spritz-crazy ladies when I noticed an adorable blue bottle sitting on the counter.
See? Isn't it super cute?
Shockingly there weren't any nagging ladies nearby so I was intrigued to go over and check it out. I'm a huge fan of Taylor's music and I was curious what this actually smelled like. So I quickly spritzed, looked around, and made way for my destination before being attacked!
I am in love with this perfume. It's been two hours since I put it on and I keep smelling my wrist and smiling. Right now it has this faint, creamy brown sugar smell to it.

According to the perfume's website, this is what the perfume is composed of:

The fragrance composition is described as a charming gourmand – floral with sparkling fruity tones on a wooden background. The top notes are raspberry, dewberry, green tea, freesia and apple blossom. The heart features sweet vanilla along with sundrenched honeysuckle and white hibiscus. Notes of golden amber, musk, sandalwood and peach are in the base.

In the beginning I smelled more of the fruity grape & rasberry tones, but it was really subtle. The more that time went by, it became more warm and I smelled more of the vanilla. It is just SO lovely. I highly recommend this perfume to anyone.
I know i'll be going back tomorrow and grabbing myself a bottle ;)
Okay, I was looking for photos on Google for this perfume and I came across this. Really?? Hah!
I had to share it..

I'm alive, promise!

Hey guys! I just wanted to let you know that I am alive. I just started a new job, and working 40 hour weeks plus learning all the "new job stuff" has just sent me into exhaustion mode. I have so many things I want to blog about, so hopefully I'll get right on it.

I have been able to put some new items up in the shop though! Go check them out if you have a chance. These two are my favorites ;)

Halloween Nails

Looking for something cute and sneaky to add to your October wardrobe? How about these adorable Halloween inspired nails.
Just use tape to help you with the tips, otherwise use a toothpick for the web!

A simple orange color, and then cut out tape into stencils to use for the face.
Black polish with gold and orange glitter on the the tips
Oh Sally Hansen, how I love you.
Use black polish, and then a toothpick to dot on the white and black for the eyes.
These are for those of you that are a tad bit more talented ;) How fun though!

Hopefully those gave you some ideas. Have fun!

A Quick Refreshment

So I finally took the plunge and decided to chop my hair off. Let me tell you, I loved my long hair so much. I had just started curling the ends and playing around with it, and it helped me to feel that much more girly while I was out and about.

When I went to go visit my most favorite person ever, my best friend AND hairstylist (talk about an amazing combo) I really didn't know what I wanted done to it.

So here is my before. Please ignore the horrible iphone and dirty mirror picture, I was running late and this is as good as it was going to get.
Long, straight and limp. Sigh.

And here is the after:

Cute, short and pizazz! Score!!

I feel SO much better. I honestly didn't realize how much my longer hair was dragging me down.  I feel like the shorter cut helps me show off my facial features a lot more too, so it has helped me to play around with makeup and accessories. My new favorite thing? Wearing longer earrings. I haven't worn earrings in years and it is so much fun. Have you ever been to the earring section at Old Navy? Don't even get me started. I'll save that for my next post.

Are you going to change your hair up for Fall? Go shorter? Cut some bangs? Go darker? I think it's the perfect time to treat yourself to a change, so let me know what you are thinking of doing!

Oh and btw my amazing friend Anabelle is the one that did my hair. If you live in the LA area you need to go to Salon Sessions in Old Town Pasadena and see her, stat!

Headband + Short Hair = Cute Chignon!

With the holidays coming up, there is a need for more and more fancy hairstyles. Because I now have short-ish hair, it can be a pain to put my hair up and make it look "put together". Last week, The Beauty Department posted a great hair tutorial for a short hair chignon. This is so easy to do, and is perfect for that random holiday party where you want to impress :)

In need of a holiday headband? How about this cute gold number from my store.

If you want to make more a statement, I would go for this gorgeous crystal hairband. It's a bit thicker, so it's a lot easier to tuck the hair into.

Hope that this helps and that you try this new style out!

Ladies, do you know where to put the accent?

Makeup tutorial from 1938. Besides being fun to watch, I think this video has some of the best quotes I've ever heard. Just watch, you'll see what I mean.
